What is a Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists are specialists equivalent to the pediatricians of dentistry. We must complete a minimum of two years of advanced training beyond the general dentist degree in order to be licensed to treat children exclusively.
Our specialty training includes:

- Overall growth & development with special focus on facial, jaw and tooth development
- Childhood illnesses and diseases

Arnold Tracht, DDS, MS

Dr. Tracht, founder of the practice, is a native Detroiter. He completed his general dental degree in 1973, and specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry in 1975, at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Tracht also has advanced training in interceptive or "early treatment" orthodontics. He is recognized for his success in identifying and correcting teeth and jaw problems early (usually between the ages of 4-9 years) and guiding facial and tooth development.
He is married with three adult children. He and his wife, Janice, are "Nana & Poppy" to three grandchildren.

Daniel Briskie, DDS

"Dr. Dan" is a 1985 graduate of the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Mott Children's Health Center in Michigan in 1987. He received his Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1993 and was inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists for his contributions to the profession. Prior to becoming a co-owner with Dr. Tracht, Dr. Briskie was Department Head and Graduate Director of Pediatric Dentistry for Mott Children's Health Center. He continues his University of Michigan faculty position. Additionally, Dr. Briskie has over 20 years of experience in Early Treatment Orthodontics and was a member of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at Mott.
He is married to his college sweetheart, Karen. They have three grown children and a grandson.

Lisa Goldberg, DDS

Dr. Goldberg is a native of the metro Detroit area. She earned her DDS degree at the University of Detroit in 1991 and completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children's Hospital, Detroit in 1994.
When Dr. Goldberg isn't caring for patients, she and her husband are shuttling their four sons to hockey, baseball, football, etc.

Michelle Tiberia, DDS, MS

Dr. Tiberia attended Northwestern University Dental School and received her dental degree in 1999. She completed her specialty training at the University of Michigan. Dr. Michelle became a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2007. She is active in organized dentistry, serving on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Tiberia is delighted to be practicing in her home community of Rochester Hills where she and her husband reside with their two daughters.

What is an Orthodontist?
Orthodontists are licensed specialists who also must complete a minimum of two years of advanced training beyond the general dentist degree. Their expertise is the treatment of misaligned teeth, and guiding facial growth and development to create beautiful smiles.
Nicholas T. Rafaill, DDS
Dr. Rafaill provides total orthodontic care for children and adults. He earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992 and completed his specialty training in orthodontics and temporomandibular joint disorders from the Eastman Dental Center, New York.
Dr. Rafaill and his wife are proud parents of two children.
