"Dr. Dan" is a 1985 graduate of the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Mott Children's Health Center in Michigan in 1987 and received his Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1993. Dr. Briskie was inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy Dental Honor Societies for his contributions to the profession. Prior to becoming a co-owner with Dr. Tracht in 2009, Dr. Briskie was Department Head and Graduate Director of Pediatric Dentistry for Mott Children's Health Center. He continues his University of Michigan faculty position. Additionally, Dr. Briskie has over 25 years of experience in Early Treatment Orthodontics and is a volunteer member of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at the Beaumont Medical Center. He has surgical privileges at both Beaumont and Detroit Children's Hospital. Dr. Briskie is a current member of the Michigan State Board of Dentistry.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Karen. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Dr. Briskie is an avid outdoorsman and sports fan, too!

Dr. Goldberg is a native of the metro Detroit area. She earned her DDS degree at the University of Detroit in 1991 and completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children's Hospital, Detroit in 1994. She joined Dr. Tracht in 1995 as his first associate and has devoted her career to this practice and the children of our community. She is a volunteer member of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at the Beaumont Medical Center.

When Dr. Goldberg isn't caring for patients, she and her husband dedicate their time to their four active athletic sons. Mom and Dad are their greatest fans!

Dr. “Libby” Smith is a born and raised 'Michigander' having grown up in beautiful Traverse City.  She completed her dental degree in 2002 from the University of Michigan and practiced General Dentistry for ten years before deciding to return to school to pursue her passion of dentistry for children.  She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh and joined our practice in the summer of 2016.  Dr. Libby also volunteers at Beaumont's Craniofacial and Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic.

Dr. Smith lives in Rochester with her husband, Ed, children Haley and Jameson, and their goldendoodle, 'Rusty'.  When not cheering on her kids from the sidelines of their many sports and activities, she enjoys running and scrapbooking.

Dr. Caplis grew up in western Michigan. She then moved to Ann Arbor earning her bachelors degree in 2002 and DDS degree in 2011 from the University of Michigan. Dr. Caplis completed a General Practice Residency in Chicago in 2012 and practiced general dentistry in western Michigan for 6 years. She decided to devote her career to treating children and completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. She returned to metro Detroit to practice and joined our practice in 2023.

Dr. Caplis lives with her husband, son, and dog. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, cooking, and travel.

Dr. Desai was born and raised in Mumbai, India, where she completed her DDS training in 2014. Following this, she moved to the United States to pursue Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2017, she earned a Master's in Healthcare Administration from Texas Medical Center in Houston, gaining invaluable insights into holistic patient care that have greatly benefited her clinical practice. Dedicated to treating children, Dr. Desai completed her specialty training and Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Alabama in 2024. Afterward, she relocated to Michigan to be closer to family and friends and joined our practice in the same year. 

 

Dr. Desai believes that joy is found in service, and she considers pediatric dentistry to be the perfect intersection of service, family, and community. She lives with her husband and son and enjoys painting, reading, playing chess, and traveling.

Dr. Jeff Anderson is originally from Toledo, Ohio where he grew up as the fourth child of six siblings. He earned his B.S. from the University of Michigan in Biomolecular Science in 2017 before graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2021. He then went on to complete a 2-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, graduating in 2023. Dr. Anderson previously practiced in Grand Rapids, MI as a pediatric dentist before moving to metro Detroit. 

 

Outside of the office, Dr. Jeff enjoys watching Michigan football and basketball, and the Detroit Lions and Pistons. He also loves golfing, trying new restaurants, and staying active. He and his wife, Johanna, are expecting their first child in May of 2026.

Dr. Tracht is the founder of our practice and recently retired from dentistry. He is a native Detroiter and completed both his general dental degree and specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Michigan.

He is married with three adult children. He and his wife, Janice, are "Nana & Poppie" to four grandchildren.
