COVID-19 Safety Protocols Update

Dear Family,

We hope this message finds you and yours healthy during these challenging times. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced June 17 the end of all COVID-19 pandemic orders on gatherings and masking. Beginning June 22, capacity in both indoor and outdoor settings will increase to 100% and the state will no longer require residents to wear a face mask.

However, dental offices will largely be unaffected by the announcement. OSHA/MIOSHA rules remain in place despite Whitmer's announcement.

The MDA (Michigan Dental Association) still recommends that dental offices follow CDC guidance, which recommends that patients and providers continue to wear masks.

In terms of our practice being a pediatric practice, the majority of our patients are unvaccinated. Given the nature of our profession we want to ensure we are providing the safest environment possible for all our patients.

Our practice will continue to uphold the following COVID-19 protocols:

  • Masks must continue to be worn upon entry and at all times while in the building

  • Temperature checks and health prescreens for everyone entering the building

  • Virtual check in via text when in parking lot

  • Office lobby will be set up for social distancing and we will still encourage parents to wait in their cars during appointment times

  • Only one adult may accompany child/ren with appointment into the clinic area. Any additional adults or children must wait in lobby or car.

As always, our main concern is the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us at any time. To request an appointment, please go here: https://www.kidsgrins.com/contact-us

We look forward to seeing you soon!
